350z v s2000
Get the new oddessy first!!!
that thing kicks ass.
I drove the 350, g35 coupe and the s2k and it was really no comparison. The s2k just felt so much smaller and nimble than either of the nissans and gave so much feedback to the driver.
My friend had a g-35 coupe, sold it then bought a tl a-spec then just said screw it and got the new ody for his wife and an s2k for himself. He's much happier now.

The z convertible weighs over 3600 lbs, does not handle well at all.
I have never driven one, but I know when my friend was showing off with me riding in it i was not very impressed at all (acceleration wise).

I totally relate. A few months ago I was comparing various makes / models (350 Z Roadster, Boxster, Z4, G35). I was certain that the 350 Z Roadster was for me. Then I took a great test drive in a 2004 S2000. The Z was moved to the back burner and I now drive a 2005 S2000.
Both are nice cars and each have their good and bad points. I am big on reliability and the 350Z was having too many issues for my taste. More so, the S2000 was more "fun" to drive. Good luck!

I've driven the roadster Z...I didn't intend to, but the dealer didn't have a manual coupe at the time. It's torquey, like all the other VQ35-powered Nissans, but you can definitely feel it's additional heft going around corners. I didn't mind the interior that much, tho it does pale a bit compared to the S. I couldn't consider the Z roadster due to it's weight. Between the Z coupe and S, that'd be a better comparison. The Z coupe handles well, tho you can still feel it's additional weight over the S thru corners. But it is torquey and easier to live with as a daily driver. Do you want tq or hi-revving power? Roominess or cockpit? Get in both and drive both...it should answer all your Qs.

I like cars that only come in stick.
Original poster, if you're like me and really into the performance of your car you should definitely go with the S2000. While mod for mod the 350Z will out shine it in the power department, it's obvious which one has the proper feel and excitement that should come with a sports car. The 350Z's design is also nothing to write home about while the S2000 will never be tired.

Oh man, you won't believe this. I'm doing my annual Ferrari Enzo give away here, and I pulled your user name out! Unfortunately, the car doesn't meet your meaningless and unfounded demands! Sorry! Better luck next year everyone!
