Etc...

My point is, for winter driving, especially in a rear wheel drive sports car, get winter tires!

I call "all-season" tires 3-season tires. They're no good in snow. Also (IMO) they're not great in severe cold temp.

I'd get an extra set of rims + snow tires for the winter and stick with "summer tires" for spring/summer/fall.

IMO taking away the summer tires from the S2000 is like de-clawing a cat. You can't fully appreciate the S2000 unless you have summer tires.

You can get a set of 4 rims + 4 snow tires from tire reak shipped to you for under $1K. Go to www.tirerack.com

I'm going to get 'Dunlop winter sport M3s' for my S2000. These are "performance snow tires" They may not grab as well on ice as some but should perform well on dry but cold roads.

It seems that Bridegstone dropped the 215/45/r17 in the LM22s.

Apparently the absolute nuts in winter tires are these:

be careful out there, 160ft lbs of torque is impossible for some to control.

Best to get summer and winter tires. If you want the car to perform at it's best and safely[B] I think this iz the best decision. I use the eom so2's in the spring/summer/fall and the Blizzak LM 22's for the winter.

It's worth the extra money to be driving on safer tires!
