the numbers alone say that he might have a point in regards to keeping up.
Who might have a point?

I'd have to think that 5 car lengths with the 4.56 would be pretty hard to believe unless you cant drive or have no experience going through your gears...I'd have to see it to believe it.

There is a video of stock vs 4.57 here on the S2000 Talk forum, I think a guy named WisconsinS2k started it, its pretty dam impressive.

ok right now Stock Stock i lost to a m3 by 1 car from 45 roll till 100. With a final drive id put 1 car on him on those speeds. Now ima get an Ecu and tune it. Id get around 10 wheel hp. Or i can spend more and get a Hondata and get it tuned by TeamPacman and get 15 wheel hp so they say. And id believe them.

i've been doing some research to see if i want these gears:

stock 04+:

1st : 0 - 36.9 mph
2nd : 36.9 mph - 56.5 mph
3rd : 56.5 mph - 78 mph
4th : 78 mph - 99.5 mph
5th : 99.5 mph - 122.5 mph
6th : 122.5 mph - 151 mph

04+ on 4.44's:

1st : 0 mph - 34 mph
2nd : 34 mph - 52.1 mph
3rd : 52.1 mph - 72 mph
4th : 72 mph - 91.9 mph
5th : 91.9 mph - 113.1 mph
6th : 113.1 mph - 139.4 mph

04+ on 4.56's:

1st : 0 mph - 33.1 mph
2nd : 33.1 mph - 50.8 mph
3rd : 50.8 mph - 70.1 mph
4th : 70.1 mph - 89.4 mph
5th : 89.4 mph - 110.1 mph
6th : 110.1 mph - 135.7 mph

1/4 mile you'd still get spanked buddy. and by spank, i mean you'd still lose, whether it be by car lengths or inches.

throw in a supercharger and you can start talking about spanking m3's.

by the way, what are the pro's and con's or 4.56 vs. 4.57's?

they seem too close to even make a difference. Do the 4.56's have the whine that the 4.57's have?
