it has plenty of torque for daily driving.. Especially when compared to cars that aren't considered fast. If someone says differently, they are either used to very fast cars, or have fragile ears.
That is a picture of a 4Runner engine compartment, obviously the seller accidently drew from two sets of pictures when he was creating the auction. I was simply poking fun at the myths surrounding the S2000 and the percieved (obviously in theory only) advantage such a swap would provide.

Overview: I was joking! Guess i should have thrown it one of these little guys

Weird... the battery is in the wrong place, though I suppose they had to move it for the transplant.

Also, the engine compartment seems shorter and wider (but I guess the photo may not be of the entire engine compartment).
Just to let you know, that pic wasn't a pic of an S2000 engine bay, it looks like it's from a Tacoma or something.

God knows how much torque we need though, sometimes I have to stick my foot out and push to get the car going from a stop

it's already a competant daily driver.
My thoughts EXACTLY!!!!! If a lack of torque makes the S not a 'competant daily driver', maybe it's the driver and not the car.

Yeah, definitely phony. Someone should call this guy out in ebay management somewhere. That engine bay doesn't look anything like ours, completely wrong down to the wiper position.

Besides, if you were going to stick a 4.7 in an S2000, would you really leave the stock airbox on from the truck you took the engine from???

haha yeah... we have way more torque than any other 4-banger NA motor.

I don't get why people complain about the "lack" of torque... I've never found it an issue once.
You don't find it to be an issue because you have an 04. The 04+ has noticeably more torque at lower RPMs.

the initial comment has been made often enough so to make it not obvious sarcasm

okay, someone makes the comment and links an ebay auction for an s2000 that shows pictures of a toyota motor.... IN A TOYOTA!!!! What isn't obvious about this being a joke?! Jesus... I can't believe there is so much animocity flying around with everyone taking this guy's post serious?! Anyways...

Also, on the 2004 comment, I've driven both, and that's a fallicy... It isn't a very noticable gain, and until you start modifying the car to make better use of the torque and free up the restraints of the stock fuel management system, etc. to be honest it's not a big enough difference to make a claim like that...
