#4 S2000
Call me crazy
, obsessed, single minded, simple minded or just an S2K fanatic. We just bought our 4th S2000.
My wife and I sold our '06 Silverstone this spring thinking that it was time to simplify our lives and downsize our possesions. Well, that was then and this is now. Once again we discovered we cannot enjoy the summer without a convertible.
Once we decided to get back in a rag top we wanted to buy something different after having owned three S2000's. We looked at and drove several late model Miatas, a couple Z4's and a 350Z. I do not want to say anything negative about these cars. They are all very fine examples of top down motoring. In fact I was really impressed with the True Red '08 PRHT Miata we drove but in the end could not pull the trigger for some unknown reason.
After 3 weeks of searching all over Ohio and not finding the "right" car we decided to just forget it and be satisfied to live without a convertible. Whether it was fate or luck or whatever we came across an '02 Spa Yellow 20 miles from our house. The car is perfect. It has only 14,500 miles, a one owner car with brand new S02's and all service records. The owners were an elderly couple, both retired and had never driven the car in rain or snow. They said they pretty much used it to drive to the golf course and to Amish country here in central Ohio.
I test drove it Friday night and told them I would get back with them Saturday. I called Saturday morning and asked to show it to my wife. When we arrived they had 4 buyers wanting the car but they were told that I was the 1st in line and they would have to wait the outcome of my decision. For the 1st time in our 37 year marriage I left the decision totally up to my wife. When she saw the car it was love
at 1st sight.
We pick the car up Monday.

I'm the only one wanting to know how much you had to pay? Sorry, but I need to ask!
Unlike most replies on here when someone asks about "Is it worth it" I think our cars are under priced and giving top dollar for a nice S is not a mistake.
