Trust everyone here. That car has been beaten to absolute death. Unless they've got 47 miles of video that can be validated, you better assume the worst.

The last test drive I took was in a Mini Cooper S. We did several donuts, 2 180 degree turns, and bounced off the rev limiter at least a dozen times. We also did full brake checks. The car did pretty good, but I feel pity for the foo that buys it...

My car had 24,500 miles on it when I bought it. Plus it's a dreaded MY00 and I haven't had any problems with it. Stop being anal and jusy buy the freakin car. those 47 miles could have been put on with one commute to and from work. You will never know.

10 miles, right off the truck, only way to fly with this car.

Don't worry about it, most cars have test drive mileage.. mine had 50 or 60 when I bought new 1 1/2 years ago, with no issues to date (knock wood).

HOWEVER,... have you seen this link?

http://marketplace.s2ki.com/docs/2004S2000/index.php

A dealership in Ohio is selling at $1000 over invoice. Might want to at least check it out before taking the plunge.

You asked about an 04 Suzuka with 10 miles on it versus one with 5 miles on it, but 2 hours away, in another thread about an hour ago.
That's my question as well.

My car had 147 miles on it upon delivery, but then again, they had the car for 7 months, i drove it times and my friend drove it 2 times before i actually bought it. I can vouch for the 147 miles on my car because i put all but about 30 miles on it during the test drives.

If you dont know where the miles came from, or if they cant tell you, dont do it.
