Default The 500hp Nightmare continues...

Some of you might know of my project or like I call it my nightmare. It all started when my wife became pregnant she could no longer drive the car. I started driving it and soon got bored of the power it came with so I added H K S exhaust and AEM coldair intake. I wanted to Dyno car to see horsepower and it actually lost 10hp at the wheels. The shop I took it to called Race Related, noticed I was disappointed so they recommended 130 shot of nos, at this time I knew nothing of suping up cars and they said they knew everything. The engine lasted 1 1/2 weeks Boom. Then they talked me into $15,800 Turbo kit and engine build. About 4 months went by and they were paid in full, I noticed parts missing from my car the owner James and manager Rich started selling different pieces. So I called the police had my car towed out of the business in 2 tow trucks because car was in pieces. I hired an attorney and they went bankrupt. I ended up loosing around $9,000.00 because I recovered some pieces.

Then ChrisD recommends Mike Simon so I drove my car up to Ohio, Mike agreed to build car back together and to build a super engine. Everything went great I highly recommend him. The time came and the guy that was going to build my Turbo upthere had a stroke. Now I was facing a new ordeal I had 2 offers 1 was Proven in Virginia which couldn't give me a price and the other was cjb80 which said $1500.00 and it would take around 2 weeks to build, also he is 1 1/2 hours away. Cjb80 gave me the best deal so I went with him. The $1500.00 turned into $4500.00 and the 2 weeks turned into 4 1/2 months. The turbo kit was built by a muffler shop that he highly recommended me and he was going to do the tuning. The whole ordeal went horrible. I paid a Honda mechanic to come over his house and help to finish it faster. At the time of starting the car it wouldn't start. The battery died so he jumped start it with his dads truck still wont start. Then he checked the spark plugs and they had water in them. He immediately blamed Mike Simon the engine builder. So he called Mike and Mike immediately called me and said he will ship car to him rebuild motor and ship it back to me running at no charge, he backed it up completely. I decided to bring up the car myself. It took mike 2 minutes to find out what went wrong. The mechanic had switched 2 hoses by the cable in the throttle body, instead of air coolant went in. It even went through the Turbo and filled up the muffler. This was not Mikes fault. It took Mike and one other helper Andre awesome guy 2 1/2 hours to take out of car and take take it apart. They looked like the real deal some Race team in a hurry to make the race. The engine was destroyed Chris said he only cranked it for 20 seconds, yeah right more like 20 minutes. The engine hydrolocked. I needed a new motor.

Now comes the part of this $4,500.00 Turbo kit that cjb80 built for me. Two racing guys came over and shredded it apart. They showed me all of the flaws and they were laughing. The engine couldn't even torque. It had exhaust leak everywhere and the pipes would have melted things like the v-tech controller and a bunch of other lines. The Turbo kit was junk and still not finished. So I called cjb80 (Chris) and he said if I take a hammer the pipes could be banged out. People heard of the reply and chewed me out for letting a moron ruin my car. Mike saw that I have over $65,000.00 into car now and I am bankrupt. He promised the car wouldn't leave Ohio until 100% finished and he would find someone to build an awesome turbo kit. I am pissed off at Cjb80 he will be liable and at Race Related... . By the way the mechanic that did the mistake said that he would rebuild engine at no charge but he has never done one, so I let the pros handle it now..

This is either a sick joke or a terrible nightmare.

My engine remains stock and my warranty intact. If I want to add 10 hp, I'll end up buying an '04.

That is some extreme bad luck.

When you are among the first to custom make something though, these things happen...

I wish you better luck in the future.

often, we never see why bad things happen to us until it is long over with. perhaps someday soon we will be seeing pics of the 500hp F20C that should have been completedly had it not been for these mishaps. if the mishaps didn't happen early on, you may have never gotten a recommendation from ChrisD to meet the people who are building your car the right way now.

i wish you the best.
