595 and holding...the torture!
You don't have to follow the 600 mile suggestion slavishly. Just keep working the engine a bit harder each time in short bursts. You can feel the engine ease itself in. Get back in that car NOW!!!!!!
Just be glad you don't have an Australian or European S2000. You'd have to wait for 1,000 km on the odometer.
1,000 km = 618 miles. Oh those extra 18 miles.
OMG, do you really think the car tell 595 miles from 600 miles? My '93 Prelude manual said to wait to 600 miles to get to the higher revs.
The S2000 manual, by the way, says to wait for 600 miles to exceed 5,500 rpm, to to wait for 600 miles to VTEC. Have you hit 5,500 miles yet? If so, you're engine is sure to blow up the instant you hit 600 miles on the odometer.

I have lost my virginity, as has my car! Took her out today for a slow warmup, then back out west on 711, and when I saw 8 bars I was at about 612, and I let 'er rip! Awesome fun! The car goes into giddyup mode and even the stock exhaust can't quell the sound and the fury. Yippee.
I feel like Madeline KHAN (irony?) in Young Frankensein: ")h, sweet mystery of life at last I've found you...".
This is more like it!!!
P.S. Alex - Pa and Pa? This is Virginia, for cryin' out loud!
P.S.S. I understand that 599 miles is no different than 600, or 601! Point is, if I took it to 8200 and something gave up, I had plausible deniability and righteous indignation for the dealer to fix it - get it?

Hope you enjoy the car's new character, rage. And, of course I don't need to remind you, keep you eye on the oil level.
