I'm looking for a second car, and I think I might buy a used 2001 or 2002 S2000.

At 6'2, can I fit into one?

Yes, but if you're that tall (I am), you'll find you get more wind in your hair/face than shorter drivers. Also, depending on your inseam (mine's 34), you may have trouble with heel & toe shifting, and get a bit of interference between your right knee and the hand on the steering wheel.

I'm about 230 lbs, so most of my friends laugh about someone my size "squeezing into that little car." However, it's never bothered me.

Drive one and see what you think.

6'1 225 No big problem for me.

My leg has to sqEEEze under the steering wheel. There are instructions on the site here to lower the seat, which would help. It can also be hard to see stoplights if you are first in line, but you get used to it. Really minor annoyances.

 

Well, I'm 6'2, 165 lbs. I'm a pretty slim guy, so I shouldn't have any problems?

With the top up would I have any problems with headroom? I doubt I'd take it out with the top up (if the top needs to be up, then the car needs to be in the garage), but I would still like to know.

no problems with top up headroom, i have more problems in Preludes than in the S2000. I'm 6'2" as well, I agree it's difficult to see stoplights, some visibility is reduced forward due to intrusion by the windshield frame into the top and left side of my field of vision. also, the top of the tachometer from about 4-7K rpm is partially-wholly blocked by the steering wheel rim, but i shift by sound anyways. It depends on your inseam/torso ratio, if you have a long inseam it might be more uncomfortable to sit because the seat doesn't move that far back(I have a 34 inch inseam, and my right knee is pinned up against the tunnel so i can fit) but the tradeoff to having a shorter inseam is that your head will stick up higher. the fix? wear a hat and sunglasses with the top down. I always do. one drive, and every comfort/conveniece "disadvantage" is instantly obscured by the width of the grin on your face...though for longer trips it is a slight pain to have such little room in the wheel well. That's why I have my accord, though

6'2 - 207lbs - 38 waist - no problems w/ my S - head room is fine as well - on the long trips w/ cruise on, I can stretch my legs out underneath the pedals... just buy the S!
