Default 600

I know we get alot of s2k owners letting us know of their first vtec experience, but I feel I must tell my story regardless. I woke up this morning knowing I had only 25 miles to go 'till 600(all my friends were making fun of me for waiting until exactly 600) I drove to work, parked, looked at my car about twenty times (as usual) and waited until the end of my work day. Once 6 o'clock rolled around I hopped in, dropped the top and cruised for 25 seemingly unneccessary miles. Then, a miraculous thing happened, I decided it was time , drove down a long lonely road, u-turned and floored it! Like an epiffany, I realized this is the perfect car. It truly is a purist driver in the most sincere form. I am obviously someone who is pre-occupied with the finer points of the driving experience and I can only hope that we all rejoice in knowing the fact that we own a truly great piece of machinery. Regardless of the upcoming changes, I'll simply say this : I can't wait until I get in my car tomorrow morning!

Prom King:

I must admit that when I heard I had to wait until 600 until I opened her up, I was hesitant. However, being the unexperianced S driver that I was, I waited. I'm actually glad I did, for it was a greater self-actualization that I achieved for waiting. It's almost like having to order something you really want online and having it delivered the next month - "good things come to those who wait." And even if others tell us that it's no big deal if we open our S's up before 600, there's never going to be that sensation of actually having the willpower of waiting till 6 hundy, then completley abusing the 9K redline. I fell ya, my brother...

i hear ya promking. this car is perfect. its got the looks, and more importantly, the feel of a true roadster (sounds like something from a brochure huh?). no other car IMO makes you want to drive 30 miles and take a detour with more curves and no other cars just to get some milk from the grocery store.

the transition to vtec amazes me everytime. good on you for the self control not to go to vtec until 600 miles. i didnt wait until 600 miles. i had 595+ and i couldnt wait.

Prom King -

It looks like I'll be in Palm Springs around Sept. Planning a golf trip. Also have to hit up Yard House - nothing but good looking bitches there! We'll have to find some open areas to open our S's up. I'll keep you posted.

Just wait till you get to the point where you think you're nowhere near the 9K red and then the S cuts on you - a bit awkward - but it's one of those learning curves. I swear it's like the S has more than 240 hp. Maybe its just me...
