I hate the tires that on my car (RE730's), but I am too cheap to just throw them away, so.....

tonight to quick the wearing out, i dropped the clutch at 9k or so, and....... WWWWOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! I was in VTEC, sideways but moving forward for a pretty good distance!

I tried another at about 8k and that was more ideal for racing someone... vtec, but not way way too much wheelspin.

I tried just one more at 7k and it barely spun and bogged a little.

That was my first real big RPM launch... no clutch smell, just fun.

Scot - i had my S2000chris hat on tonight.

That seems weird that you bogged at 7K...haven't most people said the best launch comes with a drop at 6.5K? Anyone?

Nice going, Tiger!

Scot,

Congratulations, sounds like your clutch is good for at least another three weeks!

cool!i can't think of anything that a few 8-9 k clutch drops could hurt.....well,'cept maybe the gearbox, the rear end,the clutch itself, and most other related bits!!!but hey, your titanium shift knob is safe!..and you really don't like those tires anyway.....

Try some donuts in your local mall's parking lot; You'll get rid of those pesky tires in no time. I'm not sure Honda's engineers had drag racing in mind when they designed this little gem; however, I must admit I've had more than one stoplight grand prix myself.

Good contest: how many 9K drops can you achieve before something breaks? I vote for 10. Any volunteers?
