Question for 1randyc: Did you ever get the immobilizer to work?
Sorry Luis, took long time to get back to you.
No there is no solution to get the immobilizer working with Mugen ECU and it does bother me.
And another no for the question of if I measured the performance increase with ECU.
I can only tell you that my driving route is about 100 miles a day and always same.
I felt the immidiate difference in the way the car moves off the line. The car moved well with even just a slight push in the throttle. It is no way half as good as the ATS gear change but I liked the way it improved the low and mid range.
Acutally I suppose to make an arrangement to send the Mugen ECU to VaporTrail and have him measure on the dyno but I never followed through.
But I believe you are more subject to hotter weather over there?? If so, you will be very happy with the Mugen ECU and even better if it ever priced around $1000 or lower. Try getting it from overseas instead of US distributor.
Are you really looking into doing the headgasket??
Are you also looking into Spoon's final gear??
You will be incredibly satisfied with the gear change if you ever do it.
Also look into the BYS's straight pipe. I got one and installed it. Nicely made and seems like I gained about 5-7Hp.
