Fluid changes have nothing to do with the clutch disc..

Just hit 235k 2 days ago with original clutch and a few track days. It's an 07 too so It sees roughly 30k a year.

81k on a oem clutch is not a lot at all. If your not boosted and you font drag or track you car the oem clutch should last well over 100k.

I just hit 33K miles on my clutch. Probably an all-time record for the S2000.

Wow!, Here I thought I had a record and this would be another ho hum post! I did return the clutch parts and I will be going with oem parts on the recommendation of some folks on this site plus a couple of old mechanic buddies.
I taught auto shop and was a factory bmw mechanic until i became an electrical engineer. All the bmw and other euro clutches i've replaced never lasted this long. Maybe better materials.
My memory is not as sharp since I retired from pro auto work around 1980, but I vaguely remember that around 30-50k tops was when we were replacing clutches and a lot less on Italian Fiats, Alfa's. Typical clutch job cost was a whopping $150-$200 which seemed like a fortune then!

Well, I'm back in this forum because just the other day, my pedal got real low as in couldn't put it in reverse. Got home, added fluid to the clutch master and I have enough pedal again to drive fine. As soon as I get a buddy or spring for a new vacuum pump, I'll finish bleeding the clutch or maybe let gravity do it.
