88.5 Octane?

Default 88.5 Octane?

Ok, yesterday I went to the 76 Gas station on Aliso Creek. They had a choice of either 91 Octane, 87, or 88.5. I have never seen 88.5. Whats that all about? Have you seen this, Bullit?

88.5.......that's definately weird....first time i ever saw this as an option....and why is 91 the highest? don't they offer 93or 94?

hrmmm....i never put anythign less than 93 in the stook

Yeah, I saw that too. I think because they dropped the 92 to 91, they feel they can do the same for the midgrade gas.

By the way, there have been many discussions already on the drop from 91 to 92. Tosco has decided to drop the octane in CA, and many of the other gas producers are following.
