Look at these videos...

Those are some pretty good dumps... the first one has too much wheelspin though.

this car is a bitch to launch right....too low and the rear diff feels the pain, too high and you can glaze the clutch. I do like Wisconsin said.....6500 then side-step. Just let your foot fall of the left side of the clutch. Rear end breaks free, get off the gas a bit, it locks up and you are on your way. If you feather too much, you will end up bogging the engine and the shock to the tranny might screw your differential.

basically, its light the tires or kill the drivetrain (unless you are really experienced at launching this car).

both my S2000's had probably over 500-1000 launches each bone stock.

This is definitely a drive it like you stole it car...6500k clutch drops are awesome but make a lot of people cringe. I learned in my 00 and never had any problems...i'm babying my 05 though...

Yup i did one from 62ish last night on a somwhat slipery road and i took off pretty good. I got a little more spin than i would like if i was trying to get the fastest start, but i did a nice burnout and it was fun. left 2 black strips down the road for about 20 feet. Gotta love slippry roads sometimes.
