sori guys, think the computer is playing up on me!!! it reads funi on mine as well!!

the rest of the sentence shud read, whether i shud change the air flow sys, get ride of the sard fuel regulator as the previous owner said he felt it slowed the car down abit at low revs. or whether it just needs a good booting as it was driven too slow by the last owner?

viewing yr website is great as u can organise so many events and gatherings where u are compared to hk! if we arranged anything more than 3 jap sports cars going out we wud be suspected of going illegal racing at nite as the cops are clamping down pretty hard. they love to also confesgate yr car on the spot (tow it away) as well if they suspect it has been illegally modified. sucks in a way.

I'd say it was the aftermarket FPR causing your problems. I'm not sure why you would need it.

You may not be feeling a surge in power at vtec crossover because the vafc straightened out the power band. It doesn't mean the power isn't there, necessarily. If he had it tuned with the fpr on, taking it off will throw everything out of wack. I'd probably take the fpr out and have the vafc retuned. Like 3ngin33r1, I don't see any need for one on a car with minor mods like those.

so u are saying i shud remove the vafc? i thought it was just there to display figures and look nice at nite! i was told by the previous owner not to change anything on the vafc control as he had set it right..... but then i guess it depends on what is right and what he likes i guess.

isnt it also right that vtec kicks in at exactly 5850 rpm? i hear it coming in abt then but the power seems so smooth. i was expecting something more like a burst of power instead. guess i shud hv someone to look at the vafc as i dont want to fiddle around with the controls in case i change something. at the mo it only displays 2 dial clocks, the rev counter and another meter (which i dont know what it is)! guess i shud be doing more homework on it!

I missed the VAFC.

VTEC is probably being controlled by the VAFC. The guy that set it up may not have done it right. You need a wide-band 02 setup to tune it right. If he didn't do this and there are adjustments to the VAFC, you are running a dangerous situation.
