Heard from a reliable source that Honda is buying Nissan and the next S2000 will be a rebadged GT-R.

What is for sure is S2K sales are down sharply for '07. Through July sales were only sitting at 2,800 cars. (vs 4,300 for the same period last year). That is a drop of almost 35%. I suspect this has a lot to do with the lack of a lease special as they had in 05/06. The only way they are moving these cars is to subsidize lease and finance rates.

............ORRRRR....... say screw the subsidize leases and finance rates and opt for big wings, ugly chins and no soft top "special edition" route!

Huh... how about that idea? Maybe the S2000 loyalists will turn and buy new ones then!

I heard from a friend of a friend of a cousin of a friend's sister that works at Honda in Japan that they are working on an AP3CR edition comming out on 2010 and its going to have parts from AP1 + AP2 + CR= AP3CR.
