Default AAHHHH Top was slashed during the weekend!

Well this Sat. morning I walked out of my friends apartment from a long night of partying. (It was my birthday to top it off) And I see my car rolled back out of the parking spot about 6 to 8 feet. I was like WTF and then I notice that there is a huge hole above my drivers side seat. I have pics but don't know how to post them. I came to the conclusion that they wanted the car because everything was torn out off all the compartments looking for a key. And they couldn't get my deck out so they stuck a screwdriver in the side of it trying to pry it out and just ended up taking the faceplate. I was glad that my seats were still there though. One thing that i was wondering is I took it to two Honda dealers and one quoted me $2090 to replace the top and another quoted me $3300 saying that i need to buy the plastic back window as well. I don't mind the 3300 quote because my insurance is sending me money to fix it. But was just wondering if yall had recieved quotes this high. The back window was already slit by the way.

Here are some pics. hope they work!!
Walking out of the apartment this is what i saw..

A view through the hole!!

and now i can fix this!!

Sorry to hear what happened.

3300 seems about normal but I've never had this done so I dunno.

You should upgrade to the glass window version of the top.

You need a breakdown on the costs...how much for parts and what is labor.

Sorry to hear your loss man.

Anyway, Honda dealers most likely would not install the glass top for you though -- due to legal reasons (since the glass top technically wasn't made for your car). The prices sound right for what they offer (keep in mind dealers do charge a little higher). You are looking at around 1K for the top, and another 12 to 14 hrs of labor there. Good luck!

Yea I wasn't going to have it done at Honda anyways. I just went there to get the estimate so my insurance knows how much to send me. I'm thinking of going with the canvas top with glass from cabrioworld.com or from robbins off of ebay.

A few people on here have switched to aftermarket roofs and love them. You can get glass and much nicer material for far less.

Sorry about your baby and good luck getting her put back together... at least it wasn't raining.

3300 is sky high. I had a top replace (plastic window) due to the infamous 'wear hole' issue and it cost $1400 or so OTD.

Take the 3300 and then buy the top from your choice of provider and then install it yourself!!! I'm sure the saving are worth far more than paying someone an additional 1000+ for it.
