Default About 2003 s2k's SRS light

hi all,

i am planning to buy a 2003 s2k in HK. now i found a pretty nice one just the price is a bit high.
here comes the problem, i found that the SRS light does not light up from inserting the key until engine starting...
so are there any problem with the SRS system in that car? or that's normal?
THANKS all!!!

WKL

I believe they all should light up when the ignition is turned and should turn of when the car is started. Not 100% tho so i will go out in a bitch and check on the s for you.

Just looked on my car. The red SRS light is below the F on the fuel gauge and turns on for about 10 seconds when the ignition switch is "on". If I were a sheisty dealer and trying to sell a car without airbags or other expensive SRS problem, I'd probably pull the instrument cluster and take out the light bulb too.

Good luck, but I'd walk away from that one.

PS nice catch, I definitely would not have noticed that

actually i didn't even notice that, just my friend who go to check out the car with me saw it
he is working at a garage, so he wondered why there isn't any SRS lights
most probably i would ask him to check out the airbag stuff in details to see what's going on with it
if it's without airbags or it has certain problems with it
sure i would walk away from it
