? about clutch
I have about 700 miles on my 02 s2k and am lving every minute of it. Is the S@k clutch so smooth that you hardly feel it engaging? Or is it for some reason my clutch slipping? I have driven stick for 6 years and not a bad driver. The Rpms dontfly up iwth out the mph. Is the clutch feel that good? Thanks guys.
Rev your engine up to about 7000 rpms, then gently let the clutch out as you feed it more throttle to try to get off the line as quickly as possible. You will experience true clutch slippage.
Unless your RPMs go up at a different rate than your speed, the clutch isn't slipping. If it is slipping, you should get this "wonderful" smell in your car for the next day or two.
When the clutch slips, as I've experienced in both a car and a motorcycle that I've owned, the engine starts revving up as you give it more throttle without the acceleration that should go with it. When you let off the gas, the rpms drop right back down. Automatics do this, but manual transmissions don't.
