About to make decision on 07 Laguna Blue
Hi. I will likely be making an offer on a 2007 Laguna Blue 1 owner low mile S2000 tomorrow. The dealer is asking a price that is, of course, high but not ridiculous. So I will offer something a little less and possibly be happy with it. I have a couple questions as I consider what to offer. The front lip is cracked and will have to be replaced. The car has under 25k miles and as far as I can tell is still sitting on the original OEM Potenza tires. The tires are not too worn but this car was owned by a 70 year old guy who only drove it ~3,200 miles per year and clearly garaged it based on the looks of the top. I would think the age of the tires would require replacement anyway. Just wondering from this very informed list what other areas should I consider as something to bargain with. I will be taking my time to look it over tomorrow and will be referring to the extremely informative post from this forum on what to look for. But just wondering if I could get some additional advice. I may not get a PPI on it as the car is really low miles and 1 owner. Thoughts?

I'd replace the tires. The OEM tires were fine in 2007 but there have been a couple of generations of better tire and tires age just sitting there.
In addition to what you've already noted check for tears or wear inside the roof from the top mechanism. Not mileage related but roof cycles. I can cycle mine half a dozen times a day and that's when the wear occurs. Looks like a scratch on the inside, usually over the passenger's outboard shoulder. Scratch will become a tear if not addressed.
Several maintenance items are time, not mileage based. Have the dealer do them if you're "dealing." Brake and clutch fluid and engine coolant should be changed along with the usual engine oil, transmission oil, and differential.

I have gotten at best 14k miles per set of rear tires, and that is with non aggressive driving. I'd bet the tires were replaced. Check the dot # on the tires and if they are not more than a few years old you should be ok.
Front lips are ~$450 from Honda, pre painted. Don't go cheap on it and buy an eBay lip. Good luck!!

I too would be pretty amazed that the rear tires are original. Good luck with your purchase!

I don't think they would have rotated them since they are different sizes front and back. Assuming the car is all stock of course (no squared setup).
