Has anyone tried out or had experience with the Race Technology Performance accelerometer? A friend of mine sent me the following link:

It is supposed to be better than the GTech pro

I have an AP-22 and have been using it for about a month. The data logging feature is nice. At this point I have about 5 similar devices!! One thing that is nice about getting the raw data is that you can make comparisons of different performance parts. You can also do things like compare launch techniques. You can "see" a bog for example and can also get conventional things like 60 foot times, 0-60 1/4 mile and so forth. My 4 cylinder E30 M3 is down to 5.92 seconds for 0-60 MPH, which is pretty good for that car. But my 1-2 shifts are taking 0.4 seconds and my launch is not optimized. All of this is easy to see when you datalog. For relative comparisons, I like to use no skill very repeatable speed to speed tests such as 30 to 50 MPH. These will usually repeat to within a couple hundedths of a second if nothing changed. You can reliably compare oils, air filters and other subtle things not to mention larger things like cams, or superchargers. My Vericom is a little "nicer", but can't do some of the things the AP22 can do. I like the unit but note that it has a somewhat inexpensive feel and that some folks won't be able to learn how to datalog as you need to use Windows hyperterminal (in your windows accessories) and configure it. It's nice that it runs on batteries (no lighter plug wire) but a backlight for the buttons and display would have been nice along with sound and custom software. The unit is amazingly empty inside. It is also easy to do braking and cornering tests. I use "bluetack" to fix it in position above my steering wheel and below the instrument panel on my Bimmer.
