Default accidently pressed the red button

...........while motor is already running then grinding sound.


honestly, how many times have you made this mistake?




darn honda cars are so smooth and quiet sometimes I forget it's already on.

Ive never done it in the S, but I have done it in my old Accord a few times.

Did it once, just to see what would happen.
There's no issue pressing The Button if you don't have the clutch in, BTW.

yeah I know the clutch safety, BUT clutch was in therefore I heard the grind.

did it once by accident when the car was on, it was so quiet that i thought it was off, heard a grinding sound

funny that they didnt put a catch in there to disable start on idle or throttle.

just disable start when the car is idling--at least in DBW cars this could only take one switch.

i did that in my ody during the first couple of weeks - darn thing idles so smooth you can't really tell its running or not. so turn the key while it is idling = grinding sound = starter getting engaged (what causes the sound). there is no harm to that; btw, the starter in a R4 engine gets it only up to approx 400/min - thats just enough to get it going.

Man I've done it on my Tc so many times cuz I'm used to being able to hear the engine run on my past few cars. It actually stalled the car once, then restarted it

DBW or not it shouldn't be hard.

Disable start when there is vacuum. One pressure switch!
