Title reminds of the Men In Black red button.

I did that once, even with my loud cat back, I was meaning to press the radio mode button. Guess those 400 acid trips are coming back to haunt me.

griding the starter is actually a lot worse than griding just gears. since the starter gears teeth would just chip off it would eventually break easier compared to doing that to our gears which can take a lot of punishment

did you think you stalled? i stall a few times a year (because i don't like riding the clutch and giving it more gas than needed from a standstill) and when i do, i immediately turn the key to the off position before back to on and then restart the car. it's a good habit to get into.

ohdamnitssteve is right that grinding the starter is way worse than grinding the gears.

I did it once, when I first got my car because I was curious if the push start button was also a way to shut off the car. lol.... It made the grinding sound, and I was going to make a thread about it, but I didn't and I came upon this today. FUNNY. lol.

My car is to loud to not hear it running, I can use that as a new excuse for the exhaust to my wife. Safety so I do not break my starter.

Playing Black Sabbath at 78 speed would cause me to do something like that.

I haven't done it with my S2000 yet, but I had a bad tendency to do it with my folks' Grand Am, as quiet as it is.

I haven't done it yet... I try and pay attention the the instrumentation... The tach being lit up and such.

Of course, now that I said that I will probably do it within the next week. haha
