Unofrtunately no - it's been tried, without success. Accord (and CRV) key can't be programmed for the S2K, and you can't stick an S2K chip in an accord key. This is true for all S2Ks including MY06.

I believe the key can be cut to fit the ignition, but the fob cannot be programed. But i believe no one on this forum has tried to program the new accord key to the s2000 yet. From the past thread's i have been reading no one has gotten their hands on a new accord key

People have done this frequently it seems on the TSX forum. What they do is cut apart their original key and pull out the chip and implant it into the accord key fob. I think I saw mention that they weren't sure if the key would be programmable to other makes though, but it worked on the TSX.

Here's a write up for it anyway:

Looks like we can do it with a little work. I'm going to get ahold of a key and do it, cause I hate the key fob dangling while I am driving.

Because the s2000 keys are so expensive, that is what makes me not want to get a spare made. If there is a cheaper alternative please let me know.

I tried this today. I took the immobilizer out of my valet key and put it in the new accord key. The key will start up the car. But i'm having problems programing the remote. I get my other remotes to work but not the new accord one. Any one else have any luck with this?

When I bought my car, the dealer gave me an Acura key that was reporgrammed somehow. I don't know how this was done unfortunately, but it's possible to use other keys.
