Pease note:

We now have a volunteer doing a tracing, so there is no need for anyone else to respond.

We've had many requests to make a version of our round S steering wheel badge to fit and cover the 04 stock Honda steering wheel. Here's a few photos of the verision we make for pre-04 cars:

On the '04s, Honda changed the shape of the badge/space to a trapezoid. The person or persons providing an accurate tracing with dimensions will be provided a complete set of our S badges (body, wheels, radiator cap, and steering wheel) free in return for the favor.

Please email me at rick@ricks2k.com if you can help and want more information.

Thanks!

You are right, and I believe they did consider the air bag force. I would suggest you read what is posted at ricks site.

"It is our consideration that the use of this product does not affect the proper functioning and safety of the airbag in that it is 1) constructed of soft pliable plastic and 2) and covers the Honda center badge, which is of metal construction.

Should you have any concerns concerning its use we would encourage you to obtain clearance from your Honda dealer's service department before attaching it to your steering wheel.

We can assume no liability for the use of this wheel emblem or its attachment to the steering wheel or any part of the car, and, in fact, any liability is expressly denied. "

From an ME perspective, I would consider that this tiny applique (which is what it is) would have insignificant effect on the total SRS deployment, but that is just a few years of post-grad work talking.

Rick, been having many lawsuits lately from survivors of people with 'S' embossed on their sternum?

Road Rage has it right. Given the way the airbag cover deploys, we decided there was little or no risk. The cover splits open, and the part with the badge folds down.

But each person can decide for him or herself.

As far as we know, there are no known owners with an S engraved on their foreheads

Hey Rick,

Any chance you're going to make them with just the S and without the border (like the wheel cap design)? I love the wheel caps I have because they look very clean and totally stock, but the "disappearing" border on the nose and tail badges looks a little funky and has me contemplating a Black Chrome H set to replace them with.
