Default advice on 08 s2k please

hi guys, I'm looking to buy a 06 + s2k for a project car and just wanted some advice. I'm looking at buying a black or white s2k with relatively low mileage (less than 65k) and low owners, personal vehicle and stock. i found one with one owner, female owned and less than 65k in my desired color but its in a different state. it comes with everything original, no mods nothing. what should a good price range be for this car even though i have to drive over 1k miles back home? my initial budget was 16k for an 06 but i couldn't find any that met my requirements. i don't mind waiting for the right one to pop up but i also don't want to lose a good opportunity if i see one.

i understand, i was saying that i was hoping for an s2k in that price range for something close to my requirements. but bottom line, how much should i pay for an 08 one owner unmolested 65k mi s2k in my paint preference?

First off, this car is kinda rare and then to place color and mileage prefferences on top of a bargain price might be asking for too much. Locate and average a few current prices, have cash in hand and maybe you can actually pull off a real deal. If not, be prepared to spend a little more then your current budget.

lol! soo funny. fwiw, this is a project car. initially set the budget at 16k for an 06. but that doesnt mean i wont spend more if its a good bargain. again, its not a necessity so im willing to wait for the right opportunity

to everyone else, thanks fot giving advice and figures, i appreciate it

Search nationwide on Autotrader, Cars.com, Craigslist and eBay.

Around $20k is more realistic. If the car is unmolested and pristine it will be higher. If you're really patient you might find a private party bargain.

and as others have said, there's typically a big price difference between white and the other colors---white could be a couple of thousand more depending on the year.....

just curious, you mentioned it's a project car---what are your plans for it?
