Hello all,

I had a 2002 GPW/RED and LOVED it. I then got married and had a son and the car, unfortunately had to go. I am now in a position to purchase another S2000. I currently own a 2006 Mazda Miata/MX5, wonderful car, I would just like a little more power. I really want the White/Red color combination . I think, in 2004 Honda went to the 2.2 and lowered the redline from 9k to 8k. I have never driven and AP2, but I know that a lot of the fun of driving the AP1 was the 9k redline. I grew up on sport bikes, I love the high rpm capability. I have founds lots of AP2 for sale but not many AP1 in the color combination I would like.. Does anyone have any advice or things I need to look for.

If you want white/red or red/black, you are limited to a few years, I think 00-02, 07-09. That plus age, cost, and availability, would help you limit your decision I'd think.

Either or. Find the best S2000 you can with the money that you have to spend.

Having that said, I'm enjoying my 2002 AP1 a bit more than I did my 2005 AP2.

Oh wow, I grew up and went to elementary, middle, and high school in Newnan. Can't wait to see the new S. Any questions, just shout.

 

Also, a bit out of my price range and maybe out of yours too...but if you're looking for a LOW mileage, seemingly mint, stock GPW AP1...I saw this pop up on Craigslist very recently:
