Advice on lowering springs...
Hey all...
I have STFA several times and have come to the conclusion that I am confused
I am looking to put my 2005 Silverstone S2K lower to the ground, yet want to maintain the great feel I currently have in stock mode.
I will eventually upgrade wheels/tires to 18's, but desperately want to keep the "non bouncy" feeling of a slammed car. I also, do not plan on tracking the car so I do not need coilovers.
The reason I ask, is that I recently slammed an Audi TT and while the look was sick, I became disgusted with the ride quality as it became so bouncy and harsh it was almost embarrassing commuting down a bumpy road. They were Neuspeed springs so I hesitate to even think about Neuspeed again.
Perhaps Skunk2 or even Tien? What other options that don't have me having to adjust camber or rolling fenders once I upgrade to 18's?
And just for helping out... a somewhat sexy pic of my ex

Springs......Eibach, Tien, Espelir....in order of lowering
No rolling of fenders necessary if you get 18's with proper offsets.
OEM offsets are +55F and +65 Rear. Tire choice is important too.
The swap is super easy. 1.5-3 hours depending on tools and experience.
Read the wheel forum faq for offsets.
You should meet up with other owners w/springs and see what they have and how you like the ride/look.

I have read by some that Tien and Espelir are bouncy as heck, I guess individual perception is what counts.
I will most def try to hook up with fellow Wisconsin S2K owners.
... Cubs2k? Wouldn't happen to be a Cubs fan would you?

SWIFT SPORT MACH.
the drop is about 1" front and .8" rear. it is not bouncy at all. feels VERY similar to stock, but you can notice a SLIGHT bit more bounce on the harshest of roads. the ride quality is not noticeably rougher than stock.
for pics of the drop plus 17"s:

also, these springs are marketed as performance springs, not lowering springs. they are made to work in conjunction with the stock shocks perfectly.
sparrow also has them, so you should message him for his opinion.
