Default Advice needed on Softtops

I am coming over to Florida in October and will be renting a car. Now I cannot afford to rent a S2000, so what are reasonable softtops over there?
So far the only one been offered is a Ford Mustang, what else is available?
You guys/girls have a completely different market of cars in the US so unsure of what are good and what is bad - HELP!

I think you can get Firebirds & Camaros as well (or sebrings, if you're interested in a less sporty-type or need more back seat room) - though I'm guessing most would be V6s - the GM F-bodies are still not bad rides. The brand of cars depends on the rental company.

Well lets see if you want pure American muscle you can go with the Ram Air Trans AM 325 horsees but that may be pricey
you have got the lesser expesive Chevy cavelier approx 160 horsees cheeper
then the Chrysler sebring I think they come with a 3.0 liter V-6 approx 190 horsees
Mustang Ranging from approx. 195-265 hp 320 if you get a cobra but good luck
Pontiac sunfire SLOW!! but convertable
mazda miatabuyanewcar corners like a some a bi*(H but under powered (girlfriends owns one, nice car)
I think there is more but I cant think of any more.

Thanks for the response,

Which one is better out of the
Sebring
Mustang
Cavalier

as these are the only three offered by the rental companies visited so far.

Thanks

Did not realise the Eclipse was still available. Came to Florida about 6 years ago and saw them then, very nice looking car was disappointed that we cannot get it over here in the UK

The FTO and GTO are mainly second hand imports from Japan.
They are cheap so you see a few of them, the GTO is more popular.
Mx-5 are ok, but want something that does not come with a hairdrying attachment to much of a girly car

The v-6 mustangs are pretty good...even auto.

In fact it would have no problem putting a car or two on a poorly launched s2000...to 40mph at least
