Advice for a newcomer
Hi All
I'm new to this site, and a relatively new s2000 owner, and need some advice to navigate my way around.
I posted a question in the 'under the hood' forums titled HELP PLEASE but have not received a reply.
It's a mechanical related question, for a total novice such as myself, but maybe this is the wrong place to post to get help.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

People do not check every single thread on any forum. They usually skim the thread titles to see which ones they have reason to post in.
a generic "please help" title will not get anyone's attention as good a response as a title like "engine rattle at 4k rpms"
Be specific so they know what you need. Basic info in the title, specifics in the post.

Also, it takes longer than a couple hours for most people to respond to a technical question like yours. It looks like you posted the thread in UTH at 1:39am ET...expecting a response by 2:15am ET is probably not reasonable. Plus...I hate to put it this way...but probably a large majority of owners on this forum are in the USA. Posting at that time of day is the middle of the night for US owners. If you need a really rapid response, there is a Aussi local forum on S2ki who would be on your same time zone.
One other suggestion...reading your thread it was difficult to visualize what you were referring to...and that is just because you are new and don't yet have a good understanding of the different parts of the car. Luckily Sideways was able to understand, and I bet he hit the nail on the head. But a pic, even from your cell phone, showing the area that is the problem would have helped. I personally had no clue what you were talking about since I couldn't tell if this was a brake issue or something else. But as soon as I saw the pic Sideways posted, it made perfect sense.
BTW welcome! Great car choice!
