What would you do in an STR subforum that you can't do in the current forum? Honest question.

Nothing. Don't see the need for it myself. Additionally, there is merit to many non-STR related discussion so subdividing that info/discussion from the STR folks is only complicating search and delivery of good info.

I honestly see both sides...
For now, I would just suggest creating new topics with STR: at the beginning of the topic title.

Maybe easier to create a faq or links list in the future? I think its a good idea to do something to help organize the STR info.

I agree that something needs to be different than a single STR thread growing endlessly with many different topics from within it. But, IMO, nothing wrong with adding new threads in the current section like what has been happening lately.

From my RX7 Listserv days, we just established a good standard beginning to a subject, and it helped make more manageable.

Yeah, I just said, listserv... RX7.... I'm old.

This.

And this.

Someone should bite the bullet, volunteer to reread the entire STR prep thread, and summarize it into a FAQ that can be pinned. That's essentially what I did when I wrote the Stock prep FAQ, only the information for Stock wasn't conveniently gathered in one place for me like it is for STR.
