Yeah, know the shifter and know what the max speds are for each gear. I know if I'm going 3-2 I better get below 50 mph in my AP2 for example - not exactly redline, but you get the idea.

I don't think I have ever mis-shifted in the S2000. If you're having problems downshifted then just rev-match.
