Default AEM V1 Vs V2

I am wondering what is the difference between the two intakes. I can get both of them for the same price but I wanted to know if anyone has any input about the 2. Thanks John

That is the first place I looked but it tells me the design difference not the performance difference. I am leaning more toward the V2 but I am trying to get some research done here

Their page flat out tells you it out performs their own cold air intakes, wouldnt that be the v1?

Just go with the V2. It's the newer version which you would have to assume is a better design. I have one and like it. I don't think it adds any HP, but the throttle response is much improved and it sounds great.

Keep your eye on the for sale forum as they pop up quite often.

I have driven the v1 on a b18c before and he changed to a v2 afterwards. The v1 pulls harder at low to midrange while the v2 pulls harder in vtech only. The V2 had a different sound to it. It was a little louder. I have not heard this intake on a s2k.

You're in NY also? Cool, i just got my car only a week ago. I ordered some parts from my friends shop (full throttle performance), iI ordered a hks exhaust and arc intake and i am ordering an OEM hardtop. He gets me good deals on all of my parts. Especially rare parts that were hard to find for my twin turbo supra, that i just sold.

Hope this helps you.
