v2 sounds really nice=]. im in socal so hydrolock is out of the equation 8] cutting the fenderliner does suck.. but i got mine for 60$.. 8] go v2!

Yeah I hear you this is the type of info I was looking for of course AEM is going to claim it is better but we all know here that the real world is different from the AEM shop. Plus I did not see any dyno numbers or anything to suport the claim of it being better. All I saw was the V2 was most costly so why wouldn't they say it was better. Anyway I can get both intake brand new for 275 shipped so Its clear to me that AEM is overcharging people if a shop can sell it and still make a profit at a lower cost. Thats the reason why I was asking aslo I came across the injen intake any news on that. when I search all I saw was news on their test model......Thanks again guys

this is a really old thread. sorry to bring it up again I got a question though.

what do you mean by cutting the fenderliner???

actual cutting of body parts is required to install aem CAI?

its a plastic piece, cut it with a dremmel tool, its actually not a huge deal, gomarlins3 had mine tore up in about 5 minutes

there's no way I can get away from cutting??
can I take that plastic part away before I install the CAI?
sorry for such a noob question.
I might want to turn it back to stock someday probably, and if it's going to cost me to fix it...then I might have to think it over.
