Default AEM V2

does anyone have pictures of the AEM V2 cold air intake installed on their car? I tried using search and I come up with random outcomes. So if someone could hook me up with some pics that'd be awesome. Also is there any cutting required to install it or anything else abnormal that has to be done to install it?

thanks in advance

my car next summer will be under coverage but won't be in a garage that much...so if its just sitting out and it downpours what are chances of hydrolock? and does a bypass valve cancel out the chances of hydrolock completely?

the chances of hydrolock are slim... the filter unit has to be completely submerged in water for hydro lock to actually occur.. all the cases of hydrolock you hear are because people drove through huge puddles, without realizing how deep it was..
you could get the bypass valve, but its not a guarentee of preventin hydrolock, and it also takes away some hp...
just be smart about driving through puddles and such.. if there was a flood, dont start the car

exactly ^

don't drive through high water and you won't experience hydrolock. i've driven through several storms with CAIs including the V2 on my s2k now and have never had this problem. if you are concerned about water droplets making it into the filter when driving in rain; don't cut holes in the front of the bumper like some do because the area is almost closed off otherwise.

We had a local owner here in SD that had his car parked outside during a rainstorm. When he started driving the car the next day, it sputterred and stalled mere feet from his driveway.

It seems threr is an engine compartment drain that is positioned right above the filter element. It dripped right onto the filter and filled the tube with water. The tube/filter point upward so there is nowhere for the water to go, but just sits in the lower tube.

So.......its not just sbout avoiding puddles. Be careful!
