Default AEM v2 compatible with 06' s2000?

quick question: I know that the 06's are drive by wire, but I have heard that 00-05 intakes will work on the 06's with the exception of pluggin up the air sensor. If any one can please chime in, please let me know! Thanks

They work, but you don't plug the air sensor. You need to make an adapter (proper method), or you can just use a hose clamp and tighten it tight. That's what I did on my friends 06 and no CEL or anything.

Actually, I'm not so sure about AEM specifically now. My buddy's 06 used a Comptech Ice Box. That was a polymer nipple... AEM is metal tubing. I don't know if you could just use a hose clamp...

Yes, works fine. You just use the bung on the pipe with a piece of hose in it to put the sensor in. Also tilt the filter down a bit so it doesn't vibrate into the airbag sensor. It's been running great on my car for a while now.

I kind of disagree with the adaptor idea because it puts the sensor too far away from the airflow. With the bung method, it even sticks out into the pipe like it's supposed to.

Adaptor should definitely keep the air sensor at the same height. You lose quite a bit of power otherwise.
