Default Aem V2 with duck bill drain

I just installed v2.

as I read fromt he past topics, there have been issues with drain plugs and the leakages from the front of the car.

Today, in my V2. I have observed a "duck bill drain" that obviously put to drain water out of the lowest point of the pipe.

Has anybody had any issue with the "newer" version of V2? Does the duck bill drain work?

I am especially wondering about the UK members as they are having a lot of rain.

I don't know what the "duck bill drain" is. But I like my V2 very much and haven't had any water ingestion problems, despite being in some pretty heavy downpours at times.

I think he's talking about the hole at the bottom of the bend on the pipe, right before the filter. They put a "duck bill" looking rubber to keep it sealed.

This is the picture.

It is on the lowest point of the pipe. When you are sucking from the filter, the lips of duck are closed (sucked ), if you release the gas (or you are parked) the water is let to flow inside the lips of the duck.

Looks like what trucks use on the ac system to drain water. Its main design is to let water out but it closes when there is any type of negative pressure or suction behind it.
