Aem V2 with duck bill drain

For anyone that has the AEM V2 here was my experience installing the duck bill drain.
I saved installing the duck bill drain as the last step because I didn't want it to be damaged or lost during the installation process. After having the entire CAI installed I popped the duck bill drain in the hole provided. When I did that I heard a very small "clink" metal on metal sound. I thought that was strange because the drain is all rubber with no metal so there shouldn't have been any metal like sound. I tapped the metal tube with my hand a few times and each time I heard a small clinking sound.
I took the lower part of the CAI's tube out of the car so I could see what was making that sound. Apparently the manufacture didn't punch the hole for the drain out all the way or they painted over the hole. Either way there was a small "blank" that came lose when i pushed the drain into the hole.
I'm glad that I didn't start the car with that small blank in the intake tube. It could have gotten sucked into the engine and that would have been very very bad.
Lesson learned make sure the drain hole is open and nothing is obstructing the hole before you install the duck bill drain.
