Default aem VS.iNJEN

I know thi s topic is beaten to death already. I have placed a search and have no conclusion. It seems that it is purely on opinion. Is there a final outcome, which on to go with??
Or just wait until that aem prototype is made....

look in the GB and for sale forum, there is an intake similar to AEM's that someone on the board has had made and sells for around 120.00.

Or I assume that is what he is talking about.

My philosophy is you get what you pay for

I think he's talking about the AEM "knock off" that 4igS2000 is about to introduce.

And NO, you don't always get what you pay for. Sometimes a knock off is just as good as the original. For example, is the $1400.00 3M Scotchcal film protectant kit almost 5 times better than the $300.00 one just because it goes by a different brand name? HELL NO!
So is the $120.00 AEM knock off 1/2 as good as the original? I don't think so. Let's wait and see what 4ig comes up with. It may surprise everyone and be just as good. After all, it's just a simple tube with an air filter on the end. Unless it's made of aluminum foil and has a roll of toilet paper on the end of it, I think it'll work pretty good.

i thought one of the intakes isn't good for those interested in adding a sway bar onto their S (for the intake sits too high up and is in the way)
i beleive it was the AEM one?

Well, it will be interesting to see the dynos and technical information from this so called prototype. Until we see something more substantial, toilet paper or aluminum foil may be the way to go...

You mean strut bar.
The Comptech clears and the Cusco one clears also.
BTW.. spending $120 for an intake does more to the S2000 than spending $150.
Everyone knows the Strut bar for the S2000 is mearly cosmetic.
