Afraid this would happen. I've been scammed by a member of this board!

Wish i lived close enough to this guy to help. I dont think townsend is on the delmarva penninsula, but if it is, i'd look him up for you. I don't know how people would respond to a 20yr old looking into this though. I honestly feel it would be better to let one of the older ''more mature" members of this board to handle it. Good luck though, and if i can help let me know.

just to be voice of reason here, let me say you guys really need to think about this situation before going over there. First, the police need to be notified by yourself and the other member who was scammed by this guy. The combined total of the thef, and given the fact that it crossed state lines, could count as a felony. Second, take a look at the thread in which skychicken was scammed. The TITS guys took care of it but in a more subtle way. They took pictures of the guys house, some of his mail and his car. Then skychicken emailed him the pics as a "I know who you are and where live" message. Soon after, he recieved the money from the scammer. I am suggesting this b/c I had a misunderstanding with a board member when the wheels I shipped were damaged. He went on and on how I scammed him, when I didn't. Some of the guys offered to come to my house and collect. They didn't and thank god they didn't cause my 12g would have pumped their ass full o' buckshot and I would be completely within my rights. In short, you guys can't march up to someone's house, threaten them and expect no consequences. Even if this guy is a shitbag scammer, if you come to his house/his property and threaten him or it, he has a right to defend it and the law will protect him. Therefore, get some pics, notify the cops and go from there. That's my 2cents, take it or leave it.

That is the best way of doing something. any of you would agree that if some one sent YOU a picture of YOUR house and YOUR car maby even a picture of YOU it would scare you... it would to me. i mean yes loads of people know where i live but if they know who i am and where i live and i had STOLEN money off them i would give a refund befor the police gets involved or i would supply the goods. BUT the best way to stop any of this is to be HONEST as most people are on this board.

Aye, if someone sent me those pics, and I scamed them, paranoia would settle in real quick. Great idea IMO.

*Edit-It is actually this reason I would be VERY leery of buying stuff with a P.O. Box address
