Default Aftermarket clutch feel?

I'm looking into buying a used '06 GPW S2K that came from Idaho thats got roughly 25K on it, in relatively good condition. I test drove the car but I noticed that it had a very firm/stiff clutch. This is in comparison to '04 and '08 S2K's that I've driven previously. The seller (private dealer) does not know if there was an aftermarket clutch installed. Autocheck shows 1 owner lease with no major reports.

I have no previous experience with aftermarket clutches and was hoping I could narrow down whether this stiff clutch is due to it being aftermarket, or if there may be something wrong with the clutch.

Any help? FYI, the clutch seemed to grab fine, with no slippage. The clutch seemed to grab pretty damn well as a matter of fact. While I had the clutch pushed in all the way down however, it felt like the pedal just wanted to pop up against the pressure of my leg.

Any help would be appreciated.

Look at the transmission bolts. You could possibly see wrench marks or missalined blue marks on bolt heads that Honda seems to use . ( for warranty purposes I assume).

Sounds aftermarket. As long as it grabs and doesn't slip, who cares?

well how are you gonna say that an aftermarket clutch causes the pedal to be tighter. that could be a number of things. i have a del sol with a clutch thatll put a cobra to shame. its so tight i feel like im on a leg press when i drive. but its only because i tweeked my pedal to feel tight cause i like it that way. theres a number of things that it could be.
