Default Aftermarket Flywheel Weight

I was thinking about getting an aftermarket flywheel. Which brands and weights are ideal for max performance?

There are a gazillion of us running the Comptech chrome moly steel flywheel. I seem to recall it was 5 pounds less than the factory wheel. About 8+ lbs vs 13+ lbs. Correct me if wrong, it's been 4 years since I weighed it.

The Toda is similar in weight. The lightest I have seen posted (and I don''t remember which one) is around 7 lbs. All of them will give you a good driving experience with quicker engine wind-up.

Been researching this too. Comptech and Spoon are 9.2lb...Toda is 8.4lb...Fidenza is 8lb (and aluminum...would be concerned about cracking personally). I'll probably go with the Comptech...you don't want too light of a flywheel as that does effect drivability.

i have the fidanza, and i believe its the lightest of the group, so far its been amazing, and i recommend it to everyone! plus, you can get them for around 300 now. They make good quality products.

i think its just as easy to drive as stock... but i have been driving stick since i got my license. You may have to rev a little higher to start off (like 2k) but i think its worth it... no driveability issues here!

I had a Fidanza, didn't like it, and removed it. I'm back to a stock flywheel with lightened SPEC pressure plate right now. It probably weighs as much as the Comptech and ACT combo. For a NA car, it's probably worth it. On a FI car, I can think of a LOT of better ways to spend $300.

Been using the Spoon flywheel. Quality's excellent and the weight's just right, not too heavy not too light at 4.2 kg.

I also recommend J's Racing flywheel which is designed to gain power/torque in the whole range of the rpm's.
