Default air cleaner element change?

Should I replace OEM filter element with OEM or with other aftermarket filter element? Are there any element(s) that you recommend that perform better than OEM filter element?
My owner preference is Not to change OEM filter canister, box, or Not to do any mods. I read this site regularly and am aware of recommended mods, but I prefer to keep car OEM (albeit boring to some enthusiasts). I purchased my S new in April 01, have driven 14,000 miles, and never driven in "dust or dirty" conditions. Thanks.

I think you answered your question before you even asked it. Thus, I don't understand your question.

With these conditions, you do not need new filter. Just clean it with a shop vac. You may want to check cabin filter to clean or replace it, if necessary.
