Default Air vent switch

I've had my S since the end of April and just learned about this forum.
The question I have, I couldn't find answered in the manual.
On the air vent switch, the third positon from the left has an outline of the car. What vents does this open?
Thanks in advance.
(You folks just taught me about the secret compartment so I know you are knowlegeable!)

it should be used when your top is down. Basically, it blows air through the vents under your feet or through the vents above the radio to keep your hand warm in the winter.
