Default Airbags

What is required to be replaced, fixed or reprogrammed if the Airbags deploy in an accident ?

After replacing all deployed components and the SRS control module, will the new SRS control module need programming that only Honda can do ?

Or just replacing all the above, resetting the ECU and all is done ?

Honda dealer are trying to get some money out of me by telling me that they only can change them as it needs programming and special tools to replace.

the new unit can't be programmed. It will require tamper-proof torx bits to remove the bolts on the control unit.

A tamper-proof torx bolt has a center pin in the middle of the star-shaped torx. A regular torx bit will not engage the bolt.

You need a Safety Torx bit to fit that screw. Not all that uncommon, I've got a set in my desk at work. I've seen sets selling for $10 + shipping on the Internet. Just look around you find one.
