my friend Ztec has gone through similar trouble with Alaniz. from my understanding is that he sent them the entire motor to be rebuilt, and it took them 7 months to complete the job. and he went through just about the same crap with Alaniz during the 7 months wait.

^^^dam that sucks, I hear they are great at building heads and what not but customer service sucks, so even with quality work the bad customer service would not make me want to go to them for any kind of work done period.....I hate shops that give you the run around....

I have found a complete head for a good price from someone one here. I can use everything im missing to put the head back. Thanks a million man. Gona pick it up and finish the motor, i dont have time to play around ya know. Ill have to deal with alaniz which ever way i can but im putting the car together and getting it running by the end of the month.

yeah this is nuts. My race short block was done by ERL performance. I am a seller for them through my aftermarket company. I had the Superdeck 1 done along with pauter rods and Wiseco High 12.0:1 CR pistons thermal coate. They do AWSOME work and there costomer relations are Great. It seems i will possibly have to buy all the other parts i need now. My motor is ready to go together and im stuck with this crap. If things go my way the car will be running in 2 weeks or so. So im not alone with this there have been others that have had problems?

After one of my friends went through almost the exact same mess, I've come to the conclusion that Joe is an artist......
His work is awesome, but his mind can only concentrate on that so he

i think it's more of a customer service issue..... customer service can go a long way to pleasing a customer.... i'd be willing to wait half a year for a motor as long as the guy contacts me regularly with updates or when i end up calling him he actually answers the phone.....
i've seen many threads about alaniz not returning phone calls, not answering calls, no contact for weeks and weeks, and then comes up with a lame ass excuse..
... i'm sure he can take a minute out of his time to call someone up and be like hey, i'm doing this and this now with this and that....

I know of at least one other person who is very active on this board who had the exact same problem as you right now, (missing parts etc...) I was under the impression that you do not want to mix cam towers with other heads because of alighnment issues!
