As far as I know the Honda unit basically covers doors. You can add the hood pins to cover under the hood but those are actually ADD ONS from the dealership. It also offers on dash integration with the LED built into the dash.

It doesn't offer PROX, Glass breakage, Tilt-Tow, Auto Window roll up or rain detection, not even a VISIBLE LED
you can substitute a prox sensor where the hood latch sensor option from Honda would go. mine came with the factory alarm and the proximity sensor from Clifford's website was < $50.

it may take a while to get the sensitivity just right though. if not sensitive enough..it won't notify you when someone is cutting the top. if too sensitive the garage door will set it off as it goes up or down. my solution: leave the cup holder open when in a questionable area and it is much more sensitive.

great viper 690v or clifford matrix....spokane did you go to a large store to do this or was this a custom shop? Dont want shitty work like I've heard some stories at like car toys or circuit city etc.

I do howver have these stickers on my window and a system kind of like lojack the owner told me. Basically car gets stolen call this #. So no alarm but I have a detection thing....It did work as a deteerent. I used to work at a bank and my co worker had this civic that wasnt even really modded maybe jsut an exhaust and a kit and rims. Well she parked right next to me. I come out to lunch and her car is gone and they found it several cities down next day. My car untouched.....

I choose NOT to have the "chain stores" do installs for me. I think it's kinda a given that some of these places hire guys that need a small map in their pocket to find their way to work most days.

That being said, I found a place in Spokane that has two locations and is locally owned. The guy has alot more to loose reputation wise than a chain store if he screws up. I was able to get this guy to move on the price because he's his own boss... Nothing set in stone.

Mine went in for the 360(plus change) but I know by pricing it out other places I did well. It should have been around 475+

Stick with a Mom & PoP place with a good rep.

proxy sensors suck... they dont' work as well as you think they will.....and they can become very very annoying..... if a theif wants your car they will get it regardless of what kind of alarm you have....

i think the best theft deterent is...
1. removeable steering wheel (quick release)
2. hood pins with seperate key/lock (this way they can't pop your hood and disconnect the battery or cut the horn)
3. the club (that goes on your clutch pedal)... (forgot what it's called) it's practically imposssible to cut because of the placement of the device, and not enough room in that area to get in and actually try to cut it off...
