Default Alcantara Steering Wheel

I've been wanting an Alcantara covered stock steering wheel for a while. I've seen some threads about it, but I've never seen any actual pics of the stock steering wheel redone in Alcantara. I know JPM was going to offer one a while back, and so was Ricks2k, but they still don't sell them as far as I know.

Anybody got one you can show me a pic of? How do you like it?

I found a place http://www.dallassteeringwheel.com/ that will recover mine for 300. they've got some good reviews from Ebay and I think I'm going to try them. Anyone got any experiences with this company?

Thanks,
JASON

I know an owner on the forum with the screen name CHOWBOX has done this. It looked really nice.

I know we have shipped one, and I have one on my car. So far, 1 yr + and counting, I love it.

We are happy to offer it, I just have not had time to update our web site to make it a standard offering.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but is it just premium leather or actual alcantra lined steering wheel?

That wheel in the pic is just regular leather, but they tell me they can do alcantara also.

My 330i ZHP comes with an alcantara wheel stock. It's nice when it's new, but they are high maintenance and wear out really fast and it gets pretty nasty if you don't take care of it. I am replacing mine with a new standard leather unit next week. Alcantara is a look good but don't touch material.

Thats what I heard as well, heard it gets real nasty if you drive your car often.
