Alcantara Steering Wheel
Trick with the alcantera wheel is to give it a nice wipe down about once a week.
The first wheel I had lasted about 20k and I got it warrantied, I'm on my second wheel now and at 46k, the wheel doesn't look too bad. Not new, but not too bad at all.
I love the feel of alcantera vs. regular leather.

The Alcantara wheel from www.dallassteeringwheel.com looks awesome. I saw he has it for sale one ebay too. Here is the link if anyone interested. I'm going to buy one from him

Sounds like Rick's has that option there for you there, wouldn't hurt to check with em!Just a suggestion!
I have a suede wheel in my CRX and after 3 months that thing might as well be regular leather. It might last with gloves but the oils and sweat from your hands polish it in no time.
Why did everybody tell me to get a suede wheel? Asses...

My girls 330i has the suede wheel (performance package) it's held up great with minimal effort. She had them replace it for her (free to her) because her or her brother spilled something on it and it was stained (BMW service is ridiculous). That was after 3 years of driving it though.
Anyone has their wheel done by this company? I was quote for $289 plus shipping for a steering wheel wrap in Alcantara with extra padding thickness. It looks very nice though. I think I'm going to try them. We'll see.
